Yoshito Ohno’s Tour in China
Invited by Penghao Theater, Yoshito Ohno will give performances and workshops in China. This is our first occasion to perform in mainland China.
“Butoh attracts many people beyond time, countries and genres. It’s because Butoh touches upon the universal essence of human existence, which is well revealed in the art of Kazuo Ohno who continued dancing at the age of 100 and in the one of Yoshito Ohno who has succeeded Kazuo’s art philosophy. Butoh speaks to people beyond borders in various forms. Our wish is that Chinese audience feel the Butoh’s free spirit through Yoshito Ohno’s dance.”
