It is the unit for the experimental project transforming the historical buildings into the cultural center by Yokohama city. Since 2004 Kazuo Ohno Festival has been held at the space. Kazuo Ohno Archives preparatory section is located as well.

It is the archives established in April of 2002 at University of Bologna in Italy. On the occasion of Kazuo Ohno Festival 2005, Elena Cervellati, the curator of the Archives came to Japan to give a lecture at the symposium "Dance Archives Today."
