In 1985 a Butoh Festival was held on a large scale. "The Dead Sea," directed by Tatsumi Hijikata, premiered on this occasion, in which Yoshito Ohno made his comeback on stage. Dairakudakan and Min Tanaka participated as well. Gunji Masakatsu, a critic with Kabuki speciality, gave a lecture, which appeared in Feb.20th Asahi Newspaper. NHK broadcasted the festival.
